Superyacht Carpets and Rugs
Craigie Stockwell have worked for many years in this specialist area, and we were privileged to work with the legendary Jon Bannenberg during the 1970s and 80s on a number of exciting projects including: M/Y Talitha G, and M/Y Nabila (now 'Kingdom'). I flew with the late Jon Bannenberg to Pisa and then down to Viareggio in 1980 to see Nabila in the Bennetti shipyard, learning how he had come over to England as a classical musician and then moved from set design at the Royal Opera House to becoming the first person to bring style and flair to the blossoming market for Superyachts.
We have worked with many other designers, many of whom originally trained under Bannenberg, but many who made their own reputation in this unique industry.
We have also worked with a number of Interior designers on yachts: such as Tessa Kennedy on Atlantis II, and Gerard Villate on 'Lady Christine'.
Craigie Stockwell's designers have created some very beautiful 'tone on tone' carpet designs with the Superyacht industry in mind but which were also the current mood for luxury interiors and these can be found in our 'Modern Carpets and Rugs Collections' page on this website. Many of these were launched at International Superyacht Exhibitions such as at Monaco, Nice, Palma and even Amsterdam.

A number of our more recent projects are featured below:
M/Y White Rose of Drachs
I took this photograph of the handsome 64m Superyacht in Monaco during the Yacht Show
Our 'Basketweave' carpet from 'Basics Collection', with added motifs in the corridor on 'White Rose'.
The 'White Rose' motif is subtly portrayed in a carved lighter colour on this carpet for the Saloon. The drawing of the motif was created by the owner's wife and interpreted by Sharon Reid.
The Study carpet on 'White Rose' is 'Squares' taken from our 'Basics Collection' and custom coloured.
Dr Pamela Stephenson named this yacht after the town she was born in in New Zealand. She recreated one of the Pacific Island voyages undertaken by Robert Louis Stevenson in 'Takapuna' and then described it in a book: 'Sailing the South Seas in the Wake of Fanny'. These pescatorial motifs were inspired by a famous mosaic in Pompei but modernised by Robert Holmes for a rug commissioned by John Stockwell for the Monaco Yacht Show.
M/Y Lady Christine
Oceanco built this stylish Superyacht which is a regular sight in Monaco harbour.
This beautiful carpet for the owners' bedroom was made in one piece.
Another carpet made in one piece for the Saloon.
